2. Summary

The aim of the subject is the ensuring the students' readiness for the professional activity in the psychological and pedagogical support to children with developmental deviations at correctional education institutions.

The objectives:

1) forming the knowledge in the key areas of the educational psychological service;

2) converting the knowledge into methodological skills in the organizing the psychological and pedagogical support for children with special educational needs;

3) bringing the future professionals closer to the profession of the teacher-pathologist for the work with children with developmental deviations and providing the logical improvement of the received knowledge in the independent work.

Requirements for the level of students training, who have completed studying the course:

A student should have an idea of:

- methodological foundations of psychodiagnostics, psychoprophylaxis, psychocorrection, and psychological consulting;

- methods, forms and means of psychological and pedagogical diagnostics;

- the specifics of the psychological and pedagogical support for a family;

A student should know:

- the subject content, the goal, objectives, means of the subject of "Childrens psychological and pedagogical diagnostics ";

- basic methods of the psychodiagnostics, the psychoprophylaxis, the psychocorrection and the psychological consulting;

- organizing the main activities of the psychological service.

A student should be able to:

- conduct psychological and pedagogical diagnostics of children of the preschool and school age;

- make recommendations on the results of the diagnostic survey;

- conduct the psychological and pedagogical consulting of families and children;

- develop individual and group psychocorrectional programs;

- use the methods of the psychoprophylaxis.

During the teaching of this subject we must take into account the intersubject relations, existing between the course "Psychological and pedagogical diagnostics and the other chief subjects.

The course program consists of theoretical, practical and laboratory studies.

Dzhafar Mikhailovich Mallaev the rector of Daghestan State Pedagogical University (DSPU), the head of the chair of Correctional Pedagogy and Special Psychology, Doctor of Pedagogy, the corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Education, professor. The founder of the scientific school in the spere of General and Special Pedagogy and Psychology. The scientific adviser of more than 70 of more than 70 Ph.D. theses.

Professor D.M. Mallaev administrates two Master's degree programs, post-graduate course in 4 specialties, and the doctoral course.

The author of more than 200 publications in Russian, English and German, including monographs, such as "Psychology and Pedagogy of blind and visually impaired childrens game", "Games for blind and visually impaired children", "The role of the family in the socialization of physically challenged children", "Psychological and pedagogical support for orphans", "The theory and the practice of psychotechnical games", etc. His book "The methods of teaching the children's rights", written on the grant of the UNO Children's Fund (UNICEF), was awarded with a gold medal of the Exhibition "The Education Environment - 2008" in All-Russia Exhibition Centre. He was awarded with the Order of A.S. Makarenko. He was awarded by the International Jury of IV International Psychological and Pedagogical Readings with the golden sign "The Knight of the Humane Pedagogy. The chief and the participant of a number of the grant projects on the Federal program "Children of Russia" (subprogram "Disabled Children ") and the UNO Children's Fund (UNICEF). The member of the Board of the Daghestan Department of Russian Psychological Society.

Professor D.M. Mallaev is a participant and an organizer of many international scientific and practical conferences, congresses, symposiums and seminars (Belgium, United Kingdom. Denmark, India, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, USA, Estonia, South Africa), participated in the development of the European Standard for the Special Education (Netherlands, 1994).

 

Patimat Omarovna Omarova Candidate of Psychology, professor, the. deputy head of Correctional Pedagogy and Special Psychology, DSPU, the head of the chair of research and innovation projects and grants. The author of about 200 scientific publications in the field of general and special pedagogy and psychology, including monographs and educational aids, such as The communicative development of mentally retarded primary schoolchildren (awarded with the diploma of the Fund of the Development of the Domestic Education), Psychological and pedagogical support for orphans, "The role of the family in the socialization of physically challenged children ", "The methods of teaching the children's rights" (awarded with the medal and the diploma of the Exhibition "The Education Environment - 2008" in All-Russia Exhibition Centre), "Childrens education in the spirit of patriotism and friendship among peoples in the family" "Psychology of communication and behavior of the mentally retarded schoolchildren, etc. The Winner of the Prize of the Ministry of the Youth Affairs of the Republic of Daghestan and the Ministry of the National Policy, Information and External Relations of the Republic of Daghestan (2008).

2005-2007 - coordinator of the Daghestan mobile training group of the UNO Children's Fund (UNICEF) on the program The peacemaking education and developing the tolerance of children and young people in the Northern Caucasus. In 2008 she worked as an adviser of the UNO Children's Fund (UNICEF) in the Northern Caucasus. Professor P.O. Omarova is a participant and an organizer of many international scientific and practical conferences, congresses, symposiums and seminars (Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Canada, Poland, Russia, Ukraine). Under her scientific supervision two Ph.D. theses and 8 Masters theses were defended.
